PilotSTRATEGY presented at the Caprock Integrity & Gas Storage Symposium (CIGSS). Organized every two years, the second edition of the CIGSS took place on January 27 and 28, 2026 in St-Ursanne.
Top specialists in the field of caprock integrity and gas storage met over two days. The CIGSS is the platform that brings together representatives from government agencies, industry and research.
With participants from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA, this second edition was a great success. With contributions of high scientific quality, CIGSS has established itself as an essential platform in the field of CO₂ storage and caprock integrity in particular. CIGSS takes place in St-Ursanne, Switzerland, at the site of the Mont Terri rock laboratory, which has been conducting experiments on this topic for some fifteen years.
On Day 1, French partner Frédéric Mathurin (BRGM) delivered the presentation "Quantification of potential mineralogical alteration of the transitional Callovian caprock in a context of geological CO2 storage (Paris Basin, France)."
